In the satanic verses.
This book is a novel about Indian immigrants in England. He reviles inside Islam, describing verses of the Quran as satanic and revealed by the Devil. He abuses the Sunna which means traditions and which is the sum of the sayings and actions of Muhammad. The blasphemes are offen difficult to understand because he uses a lot of words and allusions from the religious life of India.
-the wives of the prophet are described as adulteresses.
-"Niger eats white man's shit."
-"black shit is bad"
-"the sister fucking British-shits"
-he describes Margaret Thatcher as a bitch.

He has been under the death sentance since 1989.
There is a $2 million reward for Rushdie's death, but 8 years later Salman Rushdie is still a man with no fixed address. The novel that provoked the death sentence, The Satanic Verses, continues to be available in bookstores and libraries throughout many countries.
